We Did It!

Every year, Verizon awards one of its authorized retailers the coveted award of Agent of the Year. At the start of 2019, we set a goal as a company to achieve this honor. After twelve months of hard work, we are so excited to announce that we did it! Thank you to all of our employees and customers who helped us make this goal a reality. What exactly does it mean to be the agent of the year?

At TCC, we go above and beyond the role of a Verizon retailer. Of course we have top notch customer service and offer deals on the newest smartphones with Verizon service, America’s #1 network, but it’s so much more than that. We’re passionate about giving back and improving our local communities, so we’ve created programs unique to TCC that no other retailer has.

Giving Back

We have four quarterly initiatives throughout the year that help different groups! We recently finished our Teachers Rock event where all of our stores donate care packages filled with school supplies to local teachers. Other events happen throughout the year like the School Rocks Backpack Giveaway, Veterans Rock, and more. Shout out to our amazing customers for rounding up their purchases when they shop in-store. Their spare change goes directly toward the next quarterly volunteer event. Learn more about our company-wide events here.

Cloths for Cures are screen cleaning cloths available to buy in all of our stores for $10. 100% of the profits go to find cures for pediatric diseases. See more about our partnership with the Riley Children’s Foundation here.

We support TCC Gives, our nonprofit arm. They also had a great year in 2019, rolling out big changes to More Than a Phone, their program that gives smartphones with service to keep domestic violence survivors connected during a transitionary period. Get10Give10

You can’t get this program at any other store. Three times a year, we randomly select a customer to win $10,000 for themselves, plus we’ll donate an additional $10,000 to a nonprofit of their choice. Check out November and December’s winners and see what they decided to do with their prize.

    We purchased two IPhones from your Cranberry Store on McKinsey Way. The agent who waited on us was Morgan Cahill. This gentleman was extremely helpful, courteous, and most importantly, knowledgeable. We met with Morgan two times and he was always very professional, very patient and VERY helpful. This employee should be recognized for his attitude, the way he conducts himself and in the very professional way he represents your company.

    I switched from AT & T to Verizon and have never received better service. I went to the North Aurora IL location and was helped by German. Both times we went he was very kind, patient and knowledgeable. The most recent time we went German was the only employee and had several customers waiting. I was waiting for my new phone to update and was able to see how well German did with a busy store. He was polite, patient and helpful to each customer. I highly recommend that location and want German to be recognized for his exceptional customer service!
