Giving back to the local communities where we live and work is the driving force behind our business at TCC. We love to give our customers this opportunity as well, which is why we started Get10Give10! Through this program, we randomly select customers and give them $10,000 for themselves, plus they get an additional $10,000 to donate to a nonprofit of their choice.
Our most recent winner is Carol F., a lifelong resident of Clarks Summit, PA. When we initially tried to get in contact with Carol to let her know that she won, it sounded too good to be true and she didn’t believe us. Eventually, Carol and her husband Bob made their way down to their local store, discussing what they would do with their $10,000 donation if this turned out to be real. Bob immediately knew where he would want the money to go: their church. Bob has been going to the Tunkhannock United Methodist Church since he was a little boy, he and Carol got married there, and they are still active members to this day.
As you can see, Get10Give10 is indeed a real program so Carol and Bob were able to donate $10,000 to the Tunkhannock United Methodist Church, and they are going to use this donation for new doors. This church was rebuilt in the 1930’s and the doors have not been replaced since then. After withstanding nearly 100 years of cold Pennsylvania winters, they are due for an upgrade. These new doors will keep the cold air out and greatly reduce their heating costs.
