Making a positive impact goes beyond the workplace. Throughout the quarter, our employees supported the communities they call home through volunteer events, employee-led community grants, and nonprofit partnerships that help strengthen and uplift those around us.

Step Into Her
Our second annual Step Into Her women’s leadership development conference, held at the Store Support office in Fishers, IN, created space for meaningful conversations, shared experiences, and personal growth. We’re grateful to everyone who joined us and made this event unforgettable!

Ionia County Animal Shelter Volunteer Event
Some of the MI/IN District 5 team went to the Ionia County Animal Shelter and volunteered. They cleaned the cat rooms; scrubbed kennels; gave the cats fresh food, water, and bedding; did dishes, swept and mopped floors; walked dogs; and gave medication to sick kittens.

South Jersey Field of Dreams Event
Phil A., Denise W., and their children were proud to present our $5,000 grant to South Jersey Field of Dreams, a nonprofit where physically and mentally disabled children and adults can play and participate in baseball. They were also able to give away many backpacks to the kids participating on the baseball teams. The kids and families were extremely happy and appreciative, not only to have the opportunity to play baseball with their friends, but to receive some amazing backpacks from TCC as well.
Phil, Denise, and their families also got to play some baseball while they were there. It was a great day of giving back, and they’re proud to be part of such a special organization and community.

Emmanuel Dining Room Volunteer Event
The NJ Tri District 4 and District 6 teams volunteered at a fundraising event to benefit the Emmanuel Dining Room. As part of the Ministry of Caring, they feed the homeless breakfast and lunch in Wilmington, DE, 365 days a year. At the event, they fed over 50 people, helping set up, clean up, and serving the food.

Operation Do Good
At the Sales Rally, TCC partnered with Dream Alive and New Shoe Day for Operation Do Good to serve students across Indianapolis. We headed to five different middle schools within IPS and surprised every single student and staff member with a brand-new pair of sneakers.
In total, Operation Do Good delivered more than $375,000 in New Balance shoes and socks to over 3,000 local students and teachers. We’re proud to come together as one team to make a meaningful impact in the communities we serve.

National Night Out Event
Jared L. and Travis B. attended their local National Night Out event in Lancaster, PA, handing out the leftover backpacks from their stores throughout the region. It was a huge hit with 150 backpacks given out in the first hour! National Night Out is an event with local police, fire, EMS, and local business owners coming together in the community.

Kindhearted Kids Program Volunteer Event
The S IL team volunteered with the Kindhearted Kids Program in Peoria, IL. This nonprofit helps children develop lifelong values while fostering compassion and care for animals. Throughout the program, students take on the role of pet caregivers for a stuffed animal pet, learning what it means to be responsible for another living being. Children maintain daily care journals that document their pet’s needs, routines, and well-being while participating in structured lessons focused on kindness, empathy, respect, responsibility, and citizenship.
As a team, they packed bags for the kids and wrote them each a thank you letter for taking great care of their pet through the program. They also donated $500 to the Peoria Humane Society to show their continued support.

Lewis County School Resource Fair
Our Centralia, WA, store employees participated in the “Back to School Supply Give-A-Way and Resource Fair” with Lewis County Youth Mentorship Program. We’re grateful for local opportunities like this to extend the impact of our Backpack Giveaway and support students beyond event day.

Shepherd’s Center Volunteer Event
Volunteers from TCC Store Support, along with a couple of our Verizon business partners, packed and delivered 50 care packages to local seniors filled with necessities. The visits were just as meaningful as the deliveries. The volunteers loved getting to spend some time with the seniors, hearing their stories, and even passing along a few needs they shared with the Shepherd’s Center. Store Support has an ongoing relationship with Shepherd’s Center of Hamilton County, led by Tricia F., and they love doing their small part to help seniors continue to thrive.

SPARKY Handsome Cat Cafe Volunteer Event

This space lets guests relax with adoptable cats in a comfortable, cozy environment. They loved watching the community come together and support this exciting new business!

Pulling Weeds
After Nicole N. lost her nephew Jake to suicide, she applied for Verizon’s Impactful Ripples grant to support the You Matter initiative. The program was honored with a $6,000 grant, but the community would soon face even more heartbreak, with four local adolescents lost to suicide between September 2025 and March 2026.
In response, Nicole founded Pulling Weeds, a nonprofit focused on suicide prevention and mental health awareness. The organization’s name comes from a story shared at Jake’s viewing, attended by more than 1,200 people. Jake was known for helping others, including an elderly woman whose weeds he regularly pulled for her. He spent his life helping others with their burdens, even while struggling with his own.
Since March, Pulling Weeds has launched programs that help children and families overcome life’s challenges, including the Plant Your Seed Experience, Bloom the Course community restoration project, ‘You Can Bloom Bags’ for youth experiencing mental health crises, and ‘Birthday Party Bags’ for families in need.
73 was the number of Jake’s football jersey. On July 3, Pulling Weeds hosted its largest event yet, the 7•3 Celebration in Jake’s honor. Community partners and volunteers helped distribute more than 150 Sunshine Bags filled with items that encourage outdoor play, connection, and positive mental health.
Today, Pulling Weeds continues to grow, serving as a reminder that everyone can learn to recognize their struggles, find support, and bloom beyond their weeds. Nicole’s work in the Greenville and Sidney communities is deeply personal, and she is grateful to be part of a company that values giving back and making a difference where it matters most.

PACK Volunteer Event
Taylor L. and Larnell S. volunteered with PACK (People for Animal Care and Kindness) during their free vaccine clinic. They helped families move smoothly through the clinic, allowing the PACK team to vaccinate 139 pets and provide life‑saving protection to animals in our community. They also partnered with PACK for a grant, helping the animal rescue organization receive $5,000.

MTAP Volunteer Event
The East Indiana leadership team along with some Store Support members came together to pack 6,000 phones for More Than a Phone! They created 150 kits that will be distributed through partner programs and reach 6,000 survivors of domestic violence.
Every phone represents connection, safety, and hope. Thank you for turning your time and teamwork into a meaningful impact for thousands of survivors. We’re grateful for your support and commitment to making a difference! 💜

Million Meal Movement Event
The IT team partnered with Million Meal Movement, an Indiana-based nonprofit that works to fight food insecurity by providing meals to local food banks and pantries throughout the state. The event was held right in the Store Support office, where Million Meal Movement set up meal-packing assembly lines. In just one hour, the team packed about 4,000 macaroni and cheese meals that will be distributed to families across Indiana.
The event provided an opportunity to support a meaningful cause while spending time together as a team. Throughout the packing session, meals moved from station to station as ingredients were measured, sealed, packed, and boxed for distribution. After the event, everyone gathered for a pizza lunch before heading back to the rest of the workday. It was a great opportunity to give back while supporting an organization that is helping address food insecurity in communities across Indiana.

Hamilton County Humane Society Volunteer Event
The EIN team volunteered at the Humane Society for Hamilton County. They had the best time prepping and giving out over 120 cognitive doggy treats!
