Our Pittsburgh region, led by Tony Chiancone, has worked with Make-A-Wish of Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia for the last five years. This partnership started when the national Make-A-Wish organization was presenting at a TCC sales rally in Indianapolis. Tony and the team left that event so inspired and wanted to get involved with their local chapter, and a partnership was born.
Through TCC Gives, Tony and his team have donated more than $70,000 to the organization to grant wishes to children with critical illnesses. Their most recent donation granted two wishes, including a puppy for Maddox, a little boy born with spina bifida. Watch his whole story here:
Maddox and his puppy, Copper, is just one wish out of the many that Tony and his team have been able to fund. When asked what his favorite memory has been throughout their partnership, Tony recalls granting a wish for Annabelle. They planned a big trip around downtown Pittsburgh, stopping at the Make-A-Wish office and local TCC stores. On the last stop, she found out that she was going on a Disney cruise!
At TCC, helping our local communities is woven into our DNA. We love to give our employees the tools they need to make an impact on causes they’re passionate about. Tony and his team are the perfect example of this!
