Good News | Q4 2024

We wrapped up 2024 in the best way possible: by making sure to spend time giving back to our local communities! At TCC, supporting the passions of our employees is who we are; it’s built into the foundation of our business. We’d like to highlight the amazing volunteer efforts of our team through October, November, and December.

December 2024

Food 4 Souls Event

At their annual holiday meeting in Fishers, the E Indiana, OH/WV, and Southwest IN/KY sales region leaders volunteered with Food 4 Souls. They stuffed hand warmers into Bombas socks for those in need and did a lot of connecting. They celebrated our culture at TCC by deep diving into the 5 Promises and what makes TCC special.

DuQuoin Holiday Lights 5K Volunteering

Christian F. and Brianna T. volunteered at the DuQuoin Holiday Lights 5K Fun Run.  They are both photographers and took pictures of the participants at the event. All proceeds from this event supported Perry County Transition 2Hope and the Perry County Humane Society.

Cats Haven Event

The Learning and Development team and friends helped get Cats Haven ready for winter. They cleaned all the litter boxes, moved the cages to the warmest places in the house, set up wind break tarps for the porch, emptied and moved flowerpots, and brought in firewood. Cat’s Haven was also awarded a grant to extend their outdoor enclosure!

Doylestown, PA, Local News Story

Sales Associate Dianna A. has been a part of our TCC family for only a few months, but her impact on the sales floor and in her community is the talk of the town. Her team is so proud to work alongside her and appreciates her dedication to making every customer interaction a memorable one. A local article was published highlighting Diana’s patience, dedication, and heart she brings to our Doylestown, PA, store. Read the article here.

November 2024

DREAM Alive Christmas

Our Westfield and McCordsville, IN, store teams volunteered at DREAM Alive Christmas at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Company partners like us worked together with DREAM Alive scholars to help sponsor families in tough circumstances and bring them some holiday cheer.

Ben’s Ranch Volunteer Event

The learning and development team and the Arts and Outdoor Adventures (AOA) employee resource group volunteered with Ben’s Ranch to build fences, paint benches, paint gates, and clean stables. Ben’s Ranch is close to the heart of the AOA group because of their mission of providing purpose, belonging, and support for the mental health of our community youth through outdoor experiences.

YWCA DVAM Volunteer Event

The WA/ID district 3 sales team volunteered to assist the YWCA in removing purple ribbons from downtown businesses at the end of October to wrap up Domestic Violence Awareness Month so the ribbons can be reused in future years. These ribbons symbolize the organization’s commitment to ending domestic violence and are displayed throughout October. They also cleaned the emergency exit of the YWCA’s children’s playroom to keep it accessible in case of an emergency.

100 Black Men of Indianapolis Gala

At the 100 Black Men of Indianapolis, Inc. annual gala, Round Room (TCC’s parent company) was honored to receive the 100 Impact Award. This award is given to an organization that has gone above and beyond to positively impact the development of the youth in the greater Indianapolis community. We are so proud to support 100 Black Men and their cause!

Best Buddies Gala

We attended the Best Buddies Indiana gala with our very own Best Buddies employee and former Champion of the Year, RJ Zeph.

Friends of the Little White House Volunteer Event

After the NC/SC/GA sales region’s final leadership meeting of 2024, they painted rooms and helped make ornaments with The Little White House, a nonprofit that works to meet the growing needs of children diagnosed with autism in Upstate South Carolina.

Tacoma Rescue Mission Volunteer Event

WA/ID sales districts 6,7 & 8 linked up to do some good at the Tacoma Rescue Mission, an organization that’s vision is that every homeless person in Pierce County, WA, has access to a complete and permanent pathway out of poverty. For more than 100 years, they’ve been providing emergency services such as shelter and food to homeless or hurting through self-sufficiency programs that help lift a person from poverty and break the chains of addiction. The TCC team prepped food, cleaned, served meals, and engaged in conversation with those they were serving.

91 Place Volunteer Event

Some of our Store Support team volunteered to meal prep for 91 Place residents. This nonprofit is a home for unhoused youth in Indianapolis to grow, transform, and rebuild their lives.

Rock the Pantry

On November 16 – 17, our stores collected non-perishable donations to benefit a local food bank. We also donated $30,000 to Hunger Fight. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped feed our communities!

New Hope Animal Rescue Volunteer Event

The Southwest IN/KY sales region volunteered at New Hope Animal Rescue in Henderson, KY, a nonprofit, no-kill shelter.

Charlestown, IN, Grand Opening Event

Brittany R., Josh F., David S., and the rest of the E Indiana district 6 sales team partnered with the city of Charlestown, IN, and held an awesome ribbon cutting event to celebrate all the hard work that the team has put into this brand-new location. The store team chose North Clark Outreach Center to receive a $2,500 donation. We are excited for the future of this location!

October 2024

Atlantic North Summit Event

At our Atlantic North regional sales summit, Angels in Motion joined us for a volunteer event. This nonprofit participates in consistent and compassionate street outreach to individuals who are experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, and struggling with substance use disorders. We helped them create blessing bags filled with snacks, personal items, and resource lists.

Cocktails & Caregivers Gala

Store Support and field employees attended the Cocktails & Caregivers Blue Tie Gala. It was an impactful night reflecting on their past ten years of work and to shining a spotlight on their amazing caregivers. Last year, we supported this nonprofit with a $100,000 Mega Grant.

Coburn Place Volunteer Event

Volunteers from our Store Support office and surrounding stores in the Indianapolis area volunteered at Coburn Place, an organization that provides safe housing choices for survivors of domestic violence and their children. Our team set up an apartment for an incoming survivor and family so they could have a safe space to begin their new life.

Excellence in Business Awards

We are honored that we are a finalist by Indy Rainbow Chamber of Commerce for “Corporate Community Leader of the Year,” part of their 2024 Excellence in Business Award series. This award recognizes companies that demonstrate exemplary commitment to protecting and engaging LGBTQ+ communities, customers, and supplies through their policies, practices, and initiatives.

Great Lakes Summit Event

At our Great Lakes regional sales summit in Fishers, IN, we were thrilled to have four local nonprofits join us to host a volunteer event! Our team folded booklets for students attending the Summer Academy at 100 Black Men of Indianapolis; built furniture for the apartments Coburn Place provides survivors of domestic violence when they move into their transitional housing program; assembled informational placards for Prevail offering their resources to individuals who may be dealing with domestic abuse; and assembled welcome baskets full of essential care items for Trinity Haven, an organization that provides safe, affirming housing for LGBTQ+ youth experiencing housing instability.
