October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM), a time to educate the public about the prevalence and impact of domestic violence. We want to use this month to raise awareness, honor survivors, and advocate for efforts to end domestic violence.
The TCC team will be partnering with More Than a Phone supporting DVAM in our stores all month long through phone drives, a cloths for a cause design contest, and team volunteer events.
Learn more about DVAM here and here.
About More Than a Phone
This month, we are proud to support the nonprofit More Than a Phone (MTAP). MTAP keeps survivors of domestic violence connected through free smartphones + 4 months of data. These phones help give survivors a fresh start. They’re a safe device that can’t be tracked by their abuser and allows them to keep in contact with their family, friends, job, doctor, school, and more so they can build a strong foundation.
In-Store Device Drives

All TCC stores are collecting used device donations during October to support More Than a Phone.
We’re looking for old phones, tablets, laptops – anything with a screen! Devices will be accepted in any condition, any age. They will be recycled and turned into a monetary donation for More Than a Phone.
More Than a Phone Cloths for a Cause Design Contest
We asked the domestic violence organizations we partner with, and anyone associated with them (workers, survivors, families), to submit artwork that will potentially be used on our next microfiber screen cleaning cloths. We need your help to pick the winner! The design that receives the most votes will be sold in all TCC stores, and 100% of the proceeds will benefit More Than a Phone.
Check out the designs and vote for your favorite, from now through the end of the month. The winner will be announced in mid-November.
