School Rocks Backpack Giveaway 2021

Our 9th annual School Rocks Backpack Giveaway is happening Sunday, August 1 from 1-4PM. TCC stores across the country will be giving away free backpacks filled with school supplies. While supplies last. One backpack per child.

Click here to find my giveaway now.

*Call your local TCC store to see if they are participating in the Backpack Giveaway and if your child is required to attend with you.

About the Giveaway

This event is a favorite amongst our employees and our customers, and it’s a cause that resonates with a lot of people. Each year, it costs more and more money to send one child to school. According to the most recent Huntington Backpack Index , it costs $1,017 to send one child to elementary school, $1,277 to send one child to middle school, and $1,668 to send one child to high school.

When a child shows up to their first day of school with the right supplies, they’ll feel more prepared and confident. We want as many kids as possible to feel ready to take on the school year and achieve great things, which is why we give away these free backpacks and school supplies!

Our Giving

This giveaway is just one of the four Community Events we host throughout the year. Each event helps a different group of people in our local communities. Currently, our events help teachers, kids, students, and veterans. If you would like to learn more about our Community Events and other ways we give back, visit our website here.

See you at our School Rocks Backpack Giveaway on August 1! Find a giveaway near you here. Call your local TCC store to see if they are participating.

  8. This is so wonderful! I have 3 children and recently had to quit my job due to a heart condition. I need 6 months of cardiac rehab. Every little bit helps while I am out of work. I hope one of my local dealers is participating!

  9. Good morning,
My name is Karen E Barnett and I am the Director of the Bridgeton Municipal Alliance – Y2Y program, in Bridgeton NJ. We currently have 20 Students at our on-site camp who are doing 1 to 1 online tutoring for 20 Pre-K to grade 6 students. I believe the closest TCC store to us is located at Carll’s Corner in Bridgeton NJ. We partnered with them one year to provide crafts while bags were given out and would like to do the same thing this year. Please advise of the closest location and a contact person we can collaborate with. Thank you!

  10. Hi,
Last year you said we do not need to bring the kids to get a backpack, but the Attleboro, MA store will not give me one because I didn’t bring the kid. Please let your stores know that the children do not need to be present.
    Thanks

I do apologize about the mixup last year at the giveaway. This year, we are leaving it up to the local stores whether or not children will be required at the giveaway in order to receive a backpack. Please call the Attleboro, MA store to see if they are requiring children be present this year. Thank you!

  12. This is great. We’ve been getting this the past few years. But, I think you shouldn’t say the backpacks are “filled”. There’s only a few things in them. At least where I live. 🙁🤷🏼‍♀️

  14. Greeting, I would like to know if you donated your leftover backpacks to an area non-profit. Our organization, Success Link Outreach, is looking to provide area students with backpacks and school supplies. In addition, we have offered free summer meals to low-income families within the Greater Kansas City Metro during the past year. Would you mind letting me know if you have any free backpack or school supplies left over that we can provide to area youth before school starts?
    Thank You,
