Community Pantry Food Drive
A community pantry recently opened up at Kristin W.’s town library. After donating some food, the shelves were empty a week later, affirming that there is a real need for this resource. Kristin and her partner decided they wanted to do even more to help. Within two weeks, they organized and hosted a food drive, raising $100 and collecting two large bins full of food for the pantry. They’re excited to do this again in the future!

Shepherd’s Center Holiday Party
Another successful Shepherd’s Center holiday party is in the books for Round Room!
This year, led by Tricia F., we were thrilled to welcome over 150 independently living seniors for a day filled with joy and connection at our Store Support office in Fishers, IN. Guests enjoyed a delicious lunch catered by Bob Evans, a festive photo booth, pictures with Santa (played by our very own Charles O’Haver), live music and sing-alongs, and fun raffles throughout the afternoon.
A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered and helped make this event so special. Your time, energy, and hearts made a meaningful impact on our local senior community.

Guardian Friends of Lewis County Toy Drive
The Centralia, WA, store partnered with Guardian Friends of Lewis County and held a toy drive in their store during the holidays.

Tacoma Toy Rescue Mission Toy Drive
WA/ID sales district 8 was honored to be able to deliver more than 300 toys to Toy Rescue Mission (TRM) in Tacoma, WA. The donation was possible from the incredible community support during the toy drive in Larnell Smith’s stores. TRM has been a longtime TCC community partner supporting our annual backpack Giveaway. For more than 25 years, TRM has been collecting new, refurbishing, and recycling gently used toys to provide to low-income children and seniors in care facilities.
Larnell’s team was able to work as personal shoppers assisting parents with selecting the perfect gifts to go under the tree for their children! In addition to being Santa’s helpers, the team sorted and cleaned donated toys, and they also helped clean and organize the facility.

Lydia’s House New Hire Volunteer Event
The S IL sales region new hires and their district managers had the chance to experience the power of giving back during their new hire workshop! Together, they built kitchen baskets for their St. Louis More Than a Phone partner, Lydia’s House. Knowing that their small acts of kindness can bring comfort and hope to families rebuilding their lives reminded them all why we do what we do.

Building a Park in Williamsport
Jon K. helped bring a skatepark to his hometown of Williamsport, PA, and he was involved in every step of the process. He held a fundraiser to raise money for a park and street expansion. He also helped build it and submitted a TCC Gives grant for this cause.

Hope Source of Ellensburg Volunteer Event
Raymond A., Michael I., and Alexander K. of the WA/ID sales region got together to volunteer and helped build beds for families in need at Hope Source of Ellensburg, WA. They also rearranged them so everyone could have their own space. They all agreed that this event was fantastic, especially knowing what they did will provide a safe and warm place for those who are in need this year.

Community Pantry Pitch-In
Due to the recent increase in food insecurity, Kristin W.’s local library opened a community pantry. She and her partner saw this and were excited to pitch in. They went grocery shopping and grabbed items to specifically add to it.
When they got to the library, they noticed the pantry already had quite a bit of food so, before adding our food we took some time to organize the food. It was great to see their community come together and support each other like this.
They were especially happy to see that others had provided both pet and baby food in the pantry. This was something that she hadn’t personally thought of, but it is a great idea! For anyone else planning to contribute to their local pantries, this is a great reminder to include those much-needed items!

Diaper Bank Volunteer Event with Family Promise
WA/ID sales region employees Jadie B., Rob C., and Gavin M. volunteered with Family Promise. They packaged over 9,000 diapers into weekly rations for the local diaper bank that is run by one lady and covers their county and surrounding areas. They also partnered with this organization for a toy drive.

Connecting with CASA
During the KS/MO sales region new hire workshop, they had the privilege of connecting with their More Than a Phone partner, CASA. Their new employees got to hear firsthand how our phones and grants have supported CASA growth and expanded their impact. It was truly moving for all of them.
Following their presentation, they assembled care packages with essentials for survivors that Madison H., store manager in Sedalia MO, and Alaina M., field trainer, delivered a few days later.
They were also able to tour the facility, meet everyone on the team, and witness the incredible work and upcoming projects their partnership and the grants help make possible.

A Day of Care
Allia P., Jennifer H., and Lindsey S. volunteered with More Than a Phone partner What is Your Voice. They spoke with survivors about self-care, painted their nails and trimmed their hair. There were emotions, hugs, and laughter. They are so grateful for TCC and MTAP for allowing them to care for those who are in need of a little extra love!

Teamwork in Action
Amanda M. hosted a hygiene drive at the Store Support office, raising $550 for Roads to Recovery, a halfway house in Ft. Wayne, IN. This was a team effort! Our warehouse donated leftover cleaning supplies and filled a U-Haul truck with donations, the SAGE (Sexuality and Gender Equality) employee resource group sponsored the drive, and the GOOD team facilitated the drive and helped load the supplies.
